When God Feels Hidden: Attaching to the Spirit from Ezra to Esther
I don’t know why… but I often expect the Spirit to be obvious.
It could be because we know Him from when He came with a rushing wind and tongues of fire (Acts 2). Or when He hovered over the waters in Genesis 1.
Those things? They seem pretty obvious… right?
So, when it comes to our own lives. We expect a clear word or a strong impression. We expect the door to swing WIDE open or a window sash to be thrown open, loud and clear. We expect a moment where we can point to something and say, “That? That was God.”
And sometimes? He is that obvious.
Behold! The Rebuilder: Finding Yeshua in Haggai
When God spoke through the prophet Haggai, His people had returned from exile, but their hearts remained distant. Beholding Yeshua in Ezra–Nehemiah
A journey through bricks, brokenness, and the longing for a true King
Three months before our third child was born, I flipped through my Bible, trying to decide which book to read next. We had experienced quite the rollercoaster over the last three years, as my husband had transitioned from full-time ministry to corporate America. We had no idea where God was leading us next.
My husband, Michael, sat across from me as the pages of the book of Ezra fell open. “Hey babe, when was the last time you read through Ezra?”
